Robert R. Babcock

Robert R. Babcock 86 of Napoleon passed away on June 27, 2013. He was born to the late John R. and Laura Babcock on March 25, 1927 in Henry County Ohio. Loving husband for 50 years of the late Mary Lou Meiser, they were united in marriage on June 28, 1951.

Robert is survived by his children; Robert (Caroline) Babcock Jr., Walter (Kathy) Babcock, Janet (David) Kinder, Sandra (David) Parks, Rick A. Babcock and Lisa Wilhelm. Pappy to 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Robert is also survived by siblings; Laura M. Kochel, Lorna Cazares, Henrietta Lassister and Albert Babcock.

Robert worked for the City of Napoleon for over 25 years as a sanitation worker. He received a key to the city in gratitude for his many years of service. He loved to fish and cook his fried chicken. He was a very active person and was always doing something, even mowing the neighbors lawns. He was a past member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Napoleon.

Visitation for Robert will be held on Monday July 1, 2013 at Walker Mortuary 333 W. Main St. Napoleon, Ohio 43545 from 9:00 a.m. till the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Lindy Maurice-Saum Officiating. The family requests donations in honor of Robert be made to Heartland Hospice.
