Richard was born on April 10, 1935 in Urbana, IL to Fred and Mary Redenbaugh.
He is survived by his children, Kirby, Chris (Cindy), Sara Kay (Donald) Dunten, step children Tony Housley, Angie (Erik) Rolle, brother, Jack (Bobbie), sisters, Sharon (Jerry) Wagner, Deborah (Bob) Van Nest, and many grandchildren, and family and friends.
He is preceded in death by wife, Betty of Lenoir City, TN.
Although Richard only went 2 weeks into the 9th grade he had such an accomplished life. After serving 4 years in the US Navy, he moved to Naples, FL in 1958, and launched Richard's Signs in 1961 at the age of 26. He was a member of the Naples JCs, East Naples Rotary, Big Cypress Nature Center and the National Rifle Association. He was not a member of any church but he believed in the almighty.
He liked to work with his hands, sell something he was sold on, make people smile, do something just a little bit dangerous, different or challenging.
A celebration of Richard's life is scheduled on September 29, 2018 from 2-4:00 p.m. at, Henderson Creek Club (Club House), 18 Sonderhen Circle, Naples, FL, and Sunday October 7th from 2 to 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 7914 W. Cook Road Fort Wayne, IN. All are welcome to attend.
