Norma June Patterson

Norma “June” Patterson, 84, of Naples, FL passed away on August 12, 2013 at her home with her loving family. June was born in Akron, Ohio to Raymond E. and Zelma “Corine” Hughey and raised by her Grandparents Mae & Henry Hughey.

June was a compassionate woman with a great sense of humor and a zest for life. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed flower gardening and loved to have fun. June was an avid musician who loved God and gospel music.

June was married to William “Freddie” Patterson in 1958 who passed away in 2003. In addition to her husband she preceded in death by her son Mike Hughey and her grandson Aaron Hughey.

She is survived by her children; Karen Brown (Keith Reed), Doreen Langley (Larry), Sherry Patterson (Linda Dresser); grandchildren, Dwayne Brown, Chad Brown, Randal Langley, Amy Blanco, Brittany Cassin, Jessica Loerop and Brian Hughey ; June is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren; many others that knew her as a second Mother, her four legged friend Mattie and her grand-dogs Keegan, Calieg, Louie & Travis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 15 from 6 ~ 8pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. A funeral service will be held on Friday August 16, 2013 at 10 am at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens with interment to follow at Naples Memorial Gardens.
