Nicolas Giovanni Maggio

Nick was born in West Babylon, NY to Benedetto Maggio and Josephine Maggio (Miceli) on January 1st, 1996. He was a New Years Baby and proud of it, that was his special day always and he always had his special cannoli cake made by his mom. He had a great childhood always playing with friends and his family. After graduating Wiregrass Ranch High School in 2014 in Wesley Chapel he started college at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he got a college job at Marsala’s Pizza. There he met the love of his life and his soulmate Gabriella and inherited many new aunts, uncles, and cousins who he cherished. Nick and Gabriella married on February 8th, 2020 in Naples FL. They welcomed their son Giovanni on January 11th, 2021. Nick was so proud of his family and the beautiful life they created. Nick worked very hard to provide for his family. His most recent accomplishment was being promoted to security supervisor at NCH. Nick made amazing friends through this job and looked up to many of his co-workers. He was very proud of his Italian American New York heritage. He was the best husband and father anyone could ask for. He never said “no”. He spoiled his wife and son. He had so many great memories including many trips including Europe, Bahamas, New York, Chicago, Tennessee.

Nick is preceded in death by Giovanni Maggio, his grandfather, who he was devastated by his recent passing on August 12th, 2023.

Nick is survived by his loving wife Gabriella Maggio; the light of his life - his son Giovanni Maggio; his adoring parents Benedetto Maggio and Josephine Maggio; best friend and brother Christopher Maggio (Ali Fermo); grandparents Florence Maggio, Josephine Miceli, and Frank Miceli; In-Laws Louis Marsala and Natalie Marsala; brother-in-laws Charles Marsala and Louis Marsala; sister-in-law Adrianna Marsala (Ryan Thornton); aunts and uncles Joseph Maggio, Jerry Nozilo, and Rosemarie Nozilo; cousins Daniel Nozilo, Dina Maggio, and Brenda Maggio; and many many extended family and friends.

A visitation for Nicolas will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. A funeral service will occur on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. Immediately following the funeral service will be the entombment.
