Marilyn A. Motz, 86, went to her Eternal Home on Friday, May 26, 2023. She was living in Bonita Springs, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Motz of 66 years, and her children Karen (David) Kuehnert, Fremont, IN, and Thomas (Mary) Motz of Naples, FL; sister-in-law Anna (Bender) Roembke; 4 granddaughters: Melanie (David) Martz; Natalie (Christopher) Barker; Gabrielle and Brianna Motz; 4 great-grandchildren. All loves of her life.
Marilyn graduated from Northside High School in 1954. She spent 30 years giving piano lessons to the community. She was an avid knitter, quilter, did ceramics, and enjoyed reading. She is also known as a lover of ice cream and all dogs. Her dream of attending the Westminster Kennel Dog show was fulfilled in 2017. Finally, we can't forget her love of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. While she lived in Fort Wayne, she spent her summers at Snow Lake, in Fremont, IN. After her husband retired they became snowbirds.
She was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, and then at Lake George Lutheran Chapel during retirement. She loved serving her Lord and spent her mornings doing devotions and praying for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence F. and Frances M. Roembke; brothers, William (infant) and Donald E.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at Advantage Highland Park Funeral Home, 3403 E. Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, IN, 46825. The funeral will begin at 3 p.m. with visitation prior to the service from 1-3 p.m. at the same location. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, IN.
