Lover of teaching children, rescuing dogs, and spoiling her eleven nieces and nephews as “Aunt Jenny,” Jennifer Lynn Belcastro unexpectedly passed away on February 13, 2022. She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on April 12, 1956 to the late James M. Beckett Jr. and Edna Mae Hanley Beckett. She graduated from Parkersburg High School, Glenville State College, and West Virginia University with a Masters in Reading Education.
Jenny was a passionate Kindergarten teacher for 2 years at Avalon Elementary School and for 26 years at Seagate Elementary School.
Jenny was married to Robert “Bob” Belcastro on March 27, 1982 for 39 years. Jenny enjoyed tennis and golf, she was past Treasurer of The Bears Paw Niners and was active in the Naples High School Touchdown Club.
Jenny is survived by brothers, James “Jimmy” (Becky) Beckett of Naples, FL Michael “Mike” (Kelly) of Parkersburg, WV; sisters, JuneAnn (Dave) Fought, Susan (Larry) Dale both of Washington, WV; brother-in-law, Ron (Carol) Belcastro of Naples, FL; nieces and nephews, Chris Fought, Robyn Thompson, Rachel Williams, Jamie Wosje, Ashley Beckett, Jonika Hazelett, Beth Collins, Katie Buchanan, Julie Springer, Kim Dillon, and Christy Belcastro.
Jenny was predeceased by a sister Joan Steele and nephew Mike Pegg.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens (525 111th Ave. N. Naples, FL 34108) with a Viewing on Friday, February 18th, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm with a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (625 111th Ave. N. Naples, FL 34108) to be held on Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jenny’s name to the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida (www.lrrof.org).
Our bubbly sweet Jenny will be sadly missed by many.
