George was born in Chicago on April 16, 1933. He married Nancy Ann Harhen nee Forbes on July 30, 1974 in Chicago. He graduated from DePaul University. He was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant. He was involved in Knights of Columbus. He was an avid tennis player.
George is preceded in death by his father and mother John and Bernice, daughter Karen, brothers Milton and John and grandson Zachary Landon.
George is survived by his wife Nancy, children John (Cindy) Harhen, Gayle (David) Swanson, Lyndy (Bill) Littel and George Harhen, stepson Steven (April) Schwegel, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; fond sisters Bernadine (Patrick) Flavin and Margaret Barletta.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday January 25, 2019 at Hodges Funeral Home 525 111th Ave N Naples, FL 34108. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday January 26, 2019 at Hodges Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Naples Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hodges Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
