Carole was the 2nd eldest of four siblings, and was born on August 3rd, 1948 in Bethlehem, Pa. to the late Leroy Bud Devlin and Evelyn Alice Devlin (Kaufman). The family moved to Miami, FL where Carole graduated from Hialeah High School before they settled in the small fishing village named Goodland in the 1960's, where her father established Devlin Roofing.
Carole was a hard worker with a very strong sense of family and loyalty. Her faith in Jesus Christ got her through many difficult lifelong challenges. Carole held successful positions with the Collier County Clerk of Courts, The Home Depot, and while working for Deltona Corporation on Marco Island, Fl. she met, fell in love with, and married her husband of 56 years, Michael Alan Lee.
Mike began to work with Carole's father Bud Devlin in the family roofing business. Around 1973, Carole and Mike acquired the family business Devlin Roofing, which they successfully ran for over thirty years, before passing the reigns to their son David Lee upon retirement.
Carole and her husband volunteered many years of service to the Naples Gators youth football program Police Athletic League from the early 1980s to the late 1990s. Carole loved to go boating, fishing, lobstering, and had a passion for shelling on the Florida beaches. Carole has touched the lives of more people than can be mentioned through her many acts of kindness and generosity. Carole and her husband Michael were inseparable, and are now reunited with Christ in heaven.
Carole is survived by her two children David Christopher Lee and Deborah Anne Nelson (Lee), Seven grandchildren, Michael, Cory, Skylar, and Trinity Lee and Mary, Jordan, and Kaitlyn Forrest, Siblings-Thomas Devlin and Evelyn (Cookie) Anderson, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Michael Alan Lee, son Michael Lee Jr., daughter Diana Elizabeth Forrest (Lee), sister Shirley Myers.
A memorial service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home, at Naples memorial Gardens on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM followed by inurnment in Naples Memorial Gardens.
