Tammy passed peacefully with family by her side after 11 weeks in NRGH fighting complications from a blood disorder. Tammy had already shown how strong of a fighter she was after her multiple myeloma diagnosis in 2020.
Tammy was predeceased by her favorite son Jeffrey, in 2020. She is survived by her husband and riding partner of 47 years, Robert Lloyd Palmer, her children Nina (Stephane), Jillian (Dave) and daughter in law, Audra. Tammy was also the beloved Nana to Peyton, Celeste, Viktor, Liam and Iain.
Tammy lived most of her life in Nanaimo, BC. She leaves behind many friends and family who miss her dearly.
No service as per Tammy’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations to Myeloma Canada or to your local food bank can be made in Tammy’s honour. Those close to Tammy know how important food security was to her.
Thank you to the friends and loved ones who have reached out to offer words of support and acts of kindness. Thank you to the doctors who fought so hard to find an answer. An extra special thanks to all of the staff on the Fourth Floor of NRGH. Your kindness and care of Tammy and Lloyd mean so much.
