Grace passed away peacefully, at the age of 82. Her entire family was there to provide comfort and reassurance throughout her stay in NRGH Palliative Care.
Grace, the oldest of seven children, born to John and Mary Boyle, predeceased by her parents and all six of her siblings, leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Bill Sr. She is survived by her children Karen (Warren), Bill (Deb), Kevin (Marla); six grandchildren, John, Shawn, Alicia, Baylee, Carter & Reece; three great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews in Scotland and England.
Born in Dunfermline Fife Scotland, on November 05, 1938; Grace met the love of her life at age 18 while working as a conductress on the busses in Scotland, and married William Frederick Marshall on November 05, 1960. Bill and Grace immigrated to Canada with their two oldest
children, landing in Vancouver on May 24, 1967 and moving to Nanaimo shortly after.
Grace’s biggest joy was her grandchildren. Grace would jump at the chance to spend time and care for her grandchildren. Grace also held a special place in her heart for all of the families pets. Another passion of Grace's was dancing. When Bill and Grace hit the dance floor, they would make heads turn, watching them jive.
A special thank you to Tera, Carly and Aly for their compassionate care in the NRGH Palliative Unit.
A private family gathering will be held on July 13, 2021
