Martha Emerson Page passed from this earthly life July 14, 2022 at her home in Nacogdoches at the age of 75. Martha was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 25, 1946 to Richard Hermann and Billie McBride Krause.
Upon her father’s discharge from the Merchant Marine in 1950, the family moved to Freeport, Texas where she was raised. After graduating from Brazosport High School in 1965, she attended Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida. Following college, she moved to Novato, California where she was employed by Pacific Bell in San Francisco for over 35 years. Martha came home to Texas in 2011 and settled in Nacogdoches to be near her family.
Martha, a faithful member of the Swift Church of Christ, was a very kind, thoughtful and generous person always seeking to serve others. Some of her happiest hours were spent in the company of her nieces and nephews along with their children whom she loved dearly and was loved in return by them.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Richard Stuart Krause.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Louise Jobe and Husband Bill; nephew, Aaron Jobe and wife Corley, and their children Piper and Tori all of Nacogdoches; niece Paige Jobe Perez, and husband Mike, and their children Finley and Hudson of Abilene, Texas; nephew Rick Krause and wife Tara, and their children Zachary and Jonathan of Austin, Texas, and; niece, Kelli Paddock and husband Travis, and their children Austin, Cody, and Jackson of Renton, Washington.
Visitation will be at 10 am July 26 with a funeral service to follow at 11am conducted by Robert Harkrider and Ralph Sparks, minister of Swift Church of Christ, at the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. There will be a private interment at Chireno Lower Cemetery later in the day.
