Lynda spent many years working as a scheduling secretary at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. When her time at the hospital came to end she ventured into the trucking industry as a truck driver. She enjoyed watching television, reading, shelling peas with her momma, playing the occasional slot machine, and attending church. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Douglass.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth “KD” Doyle Turner and Hazel Turner.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Stripling and wife Tara and Jeff Stripling and wife Carolyn; siblings, Mickey May, Michael Turner and wife Gigi, and Kenny Turner and wife Tammy; and grandchildren, Lindsey Ariel Jordan, Logan Blaine Stripling, Shawn Aaron Stripling, Emma Nikole Stripling, Hannah Sioux Stripling, and Korra Dione Stripling.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in the Sunset Chapel at Cason Monk- Metcalf.
