Phil was born in Port Huron, Michigan on March 20th, 1946 to Virginia Eleanor Pegg and James Philip Pegg.
He was a sailor, a school teacher, an artist, a designer, a veteran, and friend, but above all he was a missionary for the Good News of Jesus Christ in the Caribbean, Central America and at the coffee shop.
He was known for his warm, loving spirit, and his love for the Lord.
Phil is survived by his wife of 46 years Lydia of Nacogdoches, TX, his sons Chris Pegg, wife Sara Pegg of Russellville, Arkansas and Erik Pegg, wife Sylvia Pegg of Dallas, Texas, his grandchildren Samuel, Henry, Oliver, Madison, Jasmine, Eleanor, Aiden, Bella, Philippa and Lily, his sister Su Pegg-Lane, husband Allan Lane of Port Huron, Michigan, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Philip’s mother, Virginia (Pinkston-Pegg) Rich and father, James Philip Pegg.
Memorial services will be held at First Christian Church of Nacogdoches on Friday, January 14th, at 11:00am.
