George L. Phillips, 91, passed away at his home in Nacogdoches on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Mr. Phillips was born on September 07, 1922 in Nacogdoches County to parents George and Maud Phillips.
George served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Army. He married Adell Holt Phillips and they had two children; Judy and Jim.
Mr. Phillips was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife; Adell Holt Phillips, son; Jim Phillips, daughter; Judy Zavalla, granddaughter's; Amanda Miles and Stephania Alfaro, and grandson; Matthew Miles.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches with Bro. Scotty Spake of North Street Church of Christ officiating.
