Marian Ethel Bayne, 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Muskegon, Michigan. Born on September 15, 1927, in Nashville, Michigan to Frank and Emily Anna (Adams) Haynor of Shelby, Marian was raised in Shelby and proudly graduated from Shelby High School.
In 1947, Marian married the love of her life, Frank D. Bayne, and together they embarked on a journey to build their dreams from the ground up. With unwavering determination, they purchased property in the Wolf Lake area, poured the foundation for their home by hand, and joyfully moved in just before Christmas. The birth of their son, Roger Dale, brought her immense pride and joy, making her a devoted mother and wife. Roger completed Marian’s happiness as they finalized their home and moved into the upper level on September 5.
Marian dedicated her life to being a loving mother and homemaker. She had a remarkable talent for sewing, often making clothes for the family with care and precision. She also found joy in bingo—both playing and calling games—and delighted in square dancing. Marian’s warmth and compassion touched many; she had a special way of making everyone feel heard and valued. She loved visiting neighbors at her apartment building, ensuring no one ever felt alone.
Marian will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her caring spirit, gentle heart, and the joy she brought to others. She is survived by her special friends Christie (Don) Morehouse, Cindy Morehouse, Jennifer (Dennis) Young, and many cherished friends from her apartment community.
She is now reunited with her parents, her beloved husband Frank, her son, and her dear friend Don Morehouse.
A graveside service will be held on May 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Egelston Township Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Carlos Ramos.
