Logan Gregory Kemp passed away February 21, 2022. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 22, 1970, Logan lived in Muskegon, Michigan since age one and graduated from Orchard View High School in 1989. As a Storekeeper in the United States Navy, he served for four years aboard a minesweeper stationed in San Diego, California. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, Logan attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in Marketing. He was diligent and dedicated to his work.
As a youth, Logan was accomplished in the art of Taekwondo as a certified black belt, earning gold and silver medals at the Junior Olympics. Logan enjoyed summers with family at the lake, camping, fishing, deer hunting, and time spent with his sons. He was a true outdoorsman. Family remember him as loving, kind, joking, peaceful, and as a devoted father.
Logan is survived by his children, Mitchell Lucarelli, Ryder Kemp, and Ashten Kemp; mother, Debora Keith; father, Rick Kemp (Kim); grandmother Jody Keith; sister Kelly Blackburn (Adam) and her children, Krista Ronning Hoffman, Cody Dame, and Michael Dame; brother Brandon Kemp: sister Laura Rose (Jason); uncle Bradley Keith (Pauline); aunt Mary Keith Giordano (Lou) and cousins Mason and Ella; uncles Joe Kemp (Vicki) and John Kemp (Dawn); aunt Carol Kemp; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and his adored dog, Cooper. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Henry and Jacqueline Keith and Howard and Julia Kemp.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 12:00pm at Jibson Immanuel Baptist Church, 7960 Evanston Avenue, Muskegon, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, please show kindness to others living with depression and donate to your favorite charity in Logan’s memory. Logan will be missed beyond measure by his family and all who knew and loved him.
