Jerry E. Jewett, age 61, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015. He was born in Muskegon on December 15, 1953 to parents Arthur and Florence (Dill) Jewett. Jerry enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors like hunting, and fishing with his grandchildren. He was an honest man who loved helping people. Jerry said he could fix anything, and even if he couldn’t, he would still give it a try. He was a family man and a friend to many. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Cheryl (McDermed) Jewett; children: Christa (Jose) Valdez, Jerry (Amber) Jewett; grandchildren: Staci (Doug), Noah, Collin, Ashlynn, Mayson, Marley; great grandchild, August; siblings: Bertha Corley, Sam Adams, Allen Adams; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Frank Sokolowski. A funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon). The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
