Cindy was born in Muskegon to Philip "Bud" and Eldoa (Somers) Maxey. Cindy graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1974. On April 7, 1990, she married David Darcy, and he survives. Cindy started working at Howmet Corp. in 1978 and retired in 2010. In the same year, she opened Gem Store Jewelery, and in 2012, she opened Skye Blue Boutique, which she simply loved running. She was a member of the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and the Ladies of the Chamber. Cindy also enjoyed all types of arts and crafts, playing cards, going to the casino, entertaining friends and family at home, cooking, especially desserts, with many people commenting on how her blueberry and apple pies were the best they ever had.
In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by her daughter, Kaile (Ryan)Broton, a son, Jordan (Kim) Darcy, two sisters, Cheryl Hall and Lisa (Jim) Cook, brothers, Steven (Krista), Kevin, Tim, Philip (John Creighton), and Tom Maxey, grandchildren, Summer, Becham, Aiden, Landen, Cameron, Carter, many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Gary and Beth Post. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Don Hall.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 2-5 PM at the Century Club Ballroom, 365 W. Western Ave. Muskegon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lodge of Grand Rapids or Harbor Hospice.
