Christopher Lee Smith, age 46, passed away on January 2, 2018 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen House after he lost his battle with cancer. He was born February 12, 1971 and was a lifelong resident of Muskegon, Michigan. He loved camping and hunting on the family owned property in Branch, MI. He also shared a passion with his Uncle Brian in searching for antiques around town, including bottles and old artifacts. Chis is survived by his mother Anita (Steve) Balogh, father Duane Smith; grandmother Josephine Youngstrom; sister Nia (Bob) Loomis, brothers Brad Balogh, Aaron Smith, and Nathan Smith; nephews Cayden and Carter, niece Paige. There will be a Celebration of Life service on February 11, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Church 451 S. Getty Street, Muskegon, MI from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Harbor Hospice Poppen House at 2065 East Mt. Garfield Rd. Muskegon, MI 49444.
