Carey Lynn Reyes

Carey Lynn Reyes, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, after bravely facing a six-week hospital stay. Born to Feliciano and Rose Reyes in Muskegon, Michigan, Carey was a cherished soul who touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Carey dedicated her time and passion to her work at Jack's Corner Store. She was also known for her talent at Kayla's taco truck and provided compassionate home health care in Muskegon, Michigan, bringing her vibrant energy and positivity to every day. Carey had a deep love for Mexican music and Hip-Hop, finding solace and joy in their melodies. She enjoyed walks to the beach and basked in the sunshine. Carey loved receiving flowers and was known to light up any room with her love for dancing.

Her furry companion, Luna, held a special place in her heart, adding warmth and companionship to her life. Carey's infectious spirit made her the life of any party, and she will be dearly missed by friends and family.

Carey is survived by her loving parents, Rose and Feliciano Reyes; her husband, David Sanchez; and her cherished children, Luis Alfredo, Oscar Edgar, Lucas Adrian, and Santiago Ivan Reyes. She is also remembered by her adored grandson, Princeton Amir; her brother Carlos (Deanna) Reyes and Daniel (Tracy) Reyes; sisters Amanda (Jason) Bellanger and Nicole Reyes, and her nephews Feliciano S Ahumada and Carter Miller. Carey leaves behind many aunts and uncles who held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Carlos Salcedo, Mary Suarez, Feliciano H Reyes, and Irene Reyes. Her brother, Feliciano S Reyes, and cousins Shannon Reyes, Lisha Marie Callisson, Katrina D Cramer, and Jimmy Grider III also preceded her in passing.

A life celebration in honor of Carey will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E Keating Avenue, Muskegon, Michigan, at 11:00 am with Pastor Carlos Ramos Officiating. Prior to the service, visitation will be 1 hour prior.

During this challenging time, may the memories of Carey's love and laughter provide comfort to those who mourn her passing. She will forever remain in our hearts, and her legacy will live on through the fond memories we shared with her.
