

John Allen Huette, 94, of Murrieta passed away in his sleep March 31, 2025. He was born June 13, 1930 to Christian and Anna Huette in Fairbury, Illinois where he grew up. At Forrest High School John played football, basketball, baseball and ran track. He was class president in his senior year as well as National Honor Society president. John served as a corporal in the US Army during the Korean War and received a certificate of achievement at the Medical Field Service School.
He received a BA from Illinois Wesleyan University and attended Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did a post graduate training internship at Mount Clemmens General Hospital. John worked in ER medicine for many years. He worked as an Urgent Care physician at Desert Oasis Healthcare in Palm Springs. His last position was at Healthpointe in Temecula practicing Occupational Medicine.
Over the years John enjoyed playing golf. His dream vacation was a golf trip to Scotland where he enjoyed challenging courses, including St. Andrews. He relaxed by tinkering on his classic 1978 Corvette, his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching golf and football. John would give of himself to help anyone, whether family or someone he just met. John is remembered for his mild manner, dry sense of humor, loyalty to friends and coworkers, high moral standards. Most of all, for his devotion to family.
John is survived by his wife, Yolanda Huette, two children Calvin Huette and Lisa Huette-Edwards, grandson Dustin Huette all of Murrieta, California. John was preceded in death by all his siblings: Lyle, Arthur, Dennis, Marvin, Christian, Albert, Herbert, and Betty Huette Schweigert. In John’s honor it is requested that donations be made to DAV: Disabled American Veterans.
Funeral service will be held on Friday May 30, 2025 at 10:45 a.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside CA 92518.
