Sharon Carter, age 66, of Spencer, Tennessee, formerly of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruby Boyd Martin and she was preceded in death by her husband Sam Carter and son, Colby Cantrell. She is survived by her daughters, Christie McKnight and husband William, Misty Cantrell and husband John, Ginger Carter, and Chelsea Carter; son, Shawn Carter and wife Jen; sister, Nina Johnson; brother, Ronnie Martin; grandchildren, Katelyn, Stephen, Johnathan, Shane, Shawn, Dayo and Kian; several great grandchildren; her cat, Bobbi and several nieces and nephews and a special thanks to her niece Gigi Lewis. Services to celebrate Mrs. Carter will be at 2:30pm Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Roselawn Funeral Home with John Leonetti officiating. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She was also preceded in death by sister, Barbara King and Joene Mix and brothers, Willis and Kelly Martin.
Mrs. Carter was a longtime production technician for Nissan. Family will serve as pallbearers.
