Linda Sue Watson from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the age of 72. Linda was the daughter of the late Youree and Louise Davenport. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gayland Watson; daughter, Delaca Watson (Genetta); son, Ryan Watson; sister, Pat Smith (Virgel); grandchildren, Brent (Liz), Nathan (Abby) and Maddie Jones; Kyle Moore and Mackenzie Bray; great grandchildren, Wade and Maci Bray; nephew, Trey Smith; and countless extended family and friends she considered family. She has left an everlasting impact on everyone she met.
A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be at One O’clock the afternoon of Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Roselawn Funeral Home with placement to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to visitation also Saturday from Ten O’clock in the morning until the service begins at One O’clock. Seating for the Celebration will be limited to immediate and extended family due to gathering size restrictions and we ask that you observe proper distancing during the visitation time, which friends are welcome to come to. We will “Live Stream” the service on our Facebook page, Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens-Murfreesboro, TN for those unable to be seated or attend. We are also not accepting food into the funeral home. If you wish to provide that for the family, please contact them for delivery to the home.
Linda was a graduate of Kittrell High School, studied Fine Art at Middle Tennessee State University, and retired from MTSU. As a true artist, her life’s passion was creating art in any form. She was a one of a kind rule-breaker, freethinker, and an original hippie. Her passion and zest for life charmed everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the entire community.
