Kenneth Winfred Davis, age 88, departed this life on May 16, 2020 in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. He was born on May 6, 1932 in Lebanon, Tennessee to the late Hezzie Kiah and Era Irene Murphy Davis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Robert Davis; son-in-law, Barney Woodard and brother-in-law, Archie Lin. In 1951, Kenneth’s life forever changed when he met the love of his life, Betty Ruth Thompson getting married in 1952. They had the greatest love story, and celebrated their 68thwedding anniversary the day that he departed this life.
In 1953. Kenneth enlisted in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. After he returned from service he worked in the Printing industry as a Linotype operator. He became an entrepreneur with his own business until he retired. Upon retirement, he was an avid fisherman
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ruth Thompson Davis of Mt. Juliet; daughter, Debra Woodard of Mt. Juliet; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Cassandra Davis of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Kaatje & Brad Pitzer and Kassie & Josh Baker; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kyndal, Kennedy, Kinsley and soon to be, Knox Pitzer; siblings, Frank & Shirley Davis of Murfreesboro and Maybell Lin of Lakeworth FL.
