Joseph Paul “Joe” Pecoraro, age 75, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Tennessee State Veterans Home. He was the son of the late Salvatore and Julia Wawro Pecoraro. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Betty Pecoraro; son, Joseph S. Pecoraro and his wife Machelle; son, Salvatore Pecoraro; son, Jose Pancho Villa and his wife Jessica; daughter, Yolanda Fuller and her husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Tyler Pecoraro, Trent Pecoraro, Tiffanie Pecoraro, Steven Rabatoy, Sal Pecoraro, Jr., Dominic Pecoraro, Sophia Pecoraro, Traysean Chesson, Daiven Villa, Aloni Villa, Noah Fuller, Jayden Fuller, Chasity Fuller, and Chloe Fuller.
Friends are cordially invited to visitation Monday evening from six to eight o’clock at Roselawn Funeral Home, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Service to celebrate Mr. Pecoraro will be at 10:30 Tuesday morning, August 30, 2022 at Creekmont General Baptist Church, 5867 Washington Blvd., Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129. Burial with military honors will follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram.
Mr. Pecoraro proudly served his country in the US Army, during the Vietnam War, also serving in the Tennessee Army National Guard and then retiring from the Tennessee Air National Guard. He was a “Million Mile” over-the-road truck driver and loved the open road on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Growing up in New York State, he had a passion for hockey and hunting deer and bear. For the last 24 years, he has been a faithful and devoted member of Creekmont General Baptist Church. Joe was also a lifelong member of the American Legion and VFW-Veterans of Foreign Wars.
