John Anthony “Tony” Taylor, age 68, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Curtis Richard Taylor, Sr. and Essie Louise Lemons Taylor. Tony is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Delma Adcock Taylor; son, Steven Taylor; sister, Anita Williams and husband Jimmy; brothers, Carlton Wayne Hale and wife Wanda and Curtis Richard “Ricky” Taylor, Jr and wife Brenda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services to celebrate Tony will be at 9:30am the morning of Friday, August 5, 2022 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Peace. Tony was in the last graduating class of Walter Hill High School prior to the school becoming Walter Hill Elementary School. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier.
