John Wayne Cooper, age 84, of Lavergne, TN, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Cooper. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Marie Cooper; son and daughter in law, Bill and Jennifer Jordan Cooper; daughter and son in law, Bobbie and Terry Keel; daughter in law, Becky Cooper, grandchildren, Mindy Christman, Jodi Hudson, April, Christopher and Jesse Cooper, Glenda and Jamie Prescott and Stephanie and Cliff Keel; great grandchildren, Camden Cooper, Jalen and Jaycee Prescott, Montay, Terrian, Hayden and Kyleigh Keel. Graveside services to celebrate Mr. Cooper will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Mr. Cooper was retired from the United States Air Force, having served in Viet Nam and other campaigns.
