James Grey Woods, age 81, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by wife Doris Lee Woods, parents Willie Marvin and Sarah Paschal Woods, brothers Billy Lynn Woods, Neil Jones Woods, Harold Lee Woods, infant sister Mary Alice Woods. Survived by longtime friend and caregiver Janice Hood Apple; daughter Dorothy Melissa Creekmore (Michael James), grandchildren Michael James Creekmore II; Cathryn Grace Creekmore; Christopher Lee Cook (Jeanna Marie); great grandchildren Evelyn Grace Cook; Melanie Ann Savoca. Honorary pallbearers Triune United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alive Hospice.
