We may have not kept in touch and our lives have gone on separate paths, but I always think about the good times that we had growing up together. Your entire Family was there when Daddy died. Since my mother passed away in 2001, I have my chosen family since my blood relatives have moved on. I will have your entire family in my thoughts and prayers during this most hard time of their lives. I know that they will think about the good times, just like I have been. Go Fly with the Angels Friend.

I have many fond memories of Cheryl. She treated everyone like family. As a kid I always felt welcome in her home. More recently when she met my first 2 babies she held them and loved them like she would’ve if they were her own grandkids. She just had so much love to give!

The last time I saw Cheryl was not long before she found out she had cancer. She was in Utah visiting Brittany.  I was feeling very pregnant and worn out, but my two toddlers needed to get out of the house. I loaded my kids up and took them to the playground at the City Creek food court wearing yoga pants and my husbands sweatshirt. As I was leaving the City Creek parking garage I saw Cheryl driving in. I honked at her and told her I was going to follow her back in so we could chat. When I parked next to her I was feeling a little self conscious because I don’t normally go in public looking so rough. The first thing Cheryl said was how cute I looked, and how great I look when I’m pregnant.  We visited for a few minutes before I said goodbye(not knowing it would be the last time). I left feeling so uplifted. Talking to her brightened my gloomy day. 

I haven't seen or talked to Cheryl since she graduated from high school (she was a year ahead of me), but, I will never forget how kind and sweet she always was...and her smile! May the loving wings of comforting angels keep each of you wrapped in love during your time of grief. Heaven gained a beautiful soul.....


To the Sommers and Posey families:  We have such wonderful memories of interacting with Cheryl at church on Sundays in the Chattanooga 1st Ward. She always had a smile and something kind to say. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.   Love, the Kammer family

Camilla and I were best friends for over 10yrs and that led Me to know Cheryl.  Only meeting her a handful of times every time I seen her She was always smiling. Even if she was upset with Camilla she always stayed calm and had encouraging words for us!  She was so sweet!  Also she was a strong person !from dealing with multiple kids to battling cancer she was strong inside and out and did it with a smile on her face.  Sommers family you all are in my thoughts and prayers! 

Cheryl was always the kindest person. I will always remember in middle school walking around Ooltewah with her after school. Giggling, being silly as school girls do.  She had a beautiful soul, always. Prayers for her family. God bless you all, she’s waiting for you now with Jesus. 

How can I even write the beautiful memories I have of my sweet friend.  She was my college roommate and I could write a book about all that she taught me.  She blessed my life and became my sister when I had none.  We worked together on Saturday mornings at 6 am at a factory to pay for our college education.  I told her I would make biscuits & she said she would read the scriptures on the way.  We baked pies  (and left the pits in cherries because we didn't know better).  The joyous memories she has left for me I now cherish more than I could have ever imagined.  I love her so much and miss her terribly.   But a beautiful family is her legacy and I offer my love and support to each of you.  May God bless each of you at this time and send angels to comfort you.

So well loved, so highly treasured, so sadly missed. A lovely lady who leaves behind a legacy of grace and love. 

Cheryl was my favorite cousin. She always saw the bright side of things. I can't remember a time from our youth where I saw her angry. She was always someone that I looked up to. She was the one that you always wanted to be around because of her happy disposition. You were taken way to soon, Cheryl. I know that your reunion with Nannie and PaPaw is incredible and I will look forward to seeing you all again some day.  I admired your faith and positive attitude these past few months in the face of such difficult circumstances your were the best example to us all.   Much Love- Deseret
