OBITUARY
Randy J. Chambers
21 November, 1957 – 3 November, 2024
Randy Chambers, age 66, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Ball Memorial Hospital. Born in Bloomington, Indiana, he was a son to the late William Chambers and Violet (Johnson) Babulski.
Randy was a graduate of Bloomington North High School and attended Ball State University where he majored in legal administration as an undergrad student, and journalism as a graduate student.
After high school, he worked as a security guard at a coal mine in Kentucky. Later on in his career, Randy worked as an editor for the Alexandria Times-Tribune, from which he would retire.
His family stated that he was known to be very stubborn and loved rooting for the Chicago Bears & NASCAR. Randy also enjoyed watching old western movies, and his favorite television show, Perry Mason.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Patti Chambers; son, Chris (Tabatha) Thatcher; daughter, Roxanne; grandchildren, Autumn, and Brayden; a brother, William Chambers; special friends; Stephen & Cynthia Guy, and William Stevens; and beloved pets, Charlie, Mimi, Gideon, and Potato.
In addition to both of his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Chambers, Mark Chambers, and Roger Chambers; and sister-in-law, Cindy Chambers.
A Celebration of Life service will be announced by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Randy's memory can be made to Muncie Animal Care and Services, 901 West Riggin Road, Muncie, Indiana 47303.
