Philip Nichols Bebout Sr.

Philip Bebout Sr, 84, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was born April 10, 1938, the son of Theodore “Ted” and Geraldine (Nichols) Bebout. Phil worked at Borg Warner for forty-two years. He loved fishing, camping and boating with his family on Dale Hollow Lake. Phil also loved hunting and bowling. Survivors include his children, Philip (Kim) Bebout Jr, Cathy (Randy) Hamm, and Debbie (Rob) Gillum; girlfriend of twenty-three years, Pat Johnson; grandchildren, Tyler (Katey), Daphne (Aaron), Timbo (Tiffany), and Taylor (Seth); and great-grandchildren, Parker, Abram, Beckham, Sawyer, Roman, and Brycen. He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-nine years, Janet Bebout; his parents; aunt, Hopie (Bob) Reece; and uncle, Bob (Mazie) Nichols. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
