Paul Quincy Lester

Paul Quincy Lester, 87, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Yorktown Manor. Born in Grundy, Virginia, he was a son of the late Roland and Florence Lester. Paul worked for Marsh Warehouse for more than 35 years, retiring in 2002, and was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church.

His family described Paul as a soft-spoken, gentle soul who was kind to everyone. Paul enjoyed watching NASCAR, Indianapolis Colts Football, Indiana Pacers Basketball, and Cincinnati Reds baseball; but his favorite pastime of all was spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Ethel (Padgett) Lester; daughters, Laura (Jeff) Miller, Paula (Randy) Thomas, Donna (Clint) Hale (of Texas), Debbie (Brooks) Evans, and Sabrina Walters; son, David (Tammy) Lester; a sister, Bessie Looney (of Virginia); 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to both of his parents, Paul was preceded in death by 10 siblings; and one great-grandchild.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services starting promptly at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial Park immediately following funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's memory can be directed to Liberty Baptist Church, Cowan.
