Nancy Drayer

Nancy Carol (Kiser) Cline Drayer, age 82, went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 18, 2021. She was born Monday, July 3, 1939, in Grundy, Virginia, to Marshall and Katherine (Ratliff) Kiser. Nancy grew up in Huntington, West Virginia, where she graduated from Marshall University. She spent most of her life with her family in Muncie, Indiana. Nancy retired after working in business for many years and continued in volunteer work for Delaware County’s CASA Program, Meals on Wheels and with the St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store. She attended church with her husband at St. Mary’s, but was a long standing member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Cline Harllee (husband Bryant) of Southport, North Carolina.; Her stepdaughter, Roberta Drayer Evans (husband Joe) of Gaston, Indiana; her stepson, John Drayer (wife Elvira) of Auburn, Washington; and stepdaughter, Margie Drayer Walker (husband Marvin) of Gaston, Indiana. In addition she had twelve beautiful grandchildren and six wonderful great grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Waters of Muncie, Indiana; Shirley Ferry of Huntington, West Virginia; and Martha Brown of Logansport, Indiana. Preceding her in death were her husband, John Patrick Drayer; her parents, John and Katherine Kiser; and her brother Albert Kiser. A service for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Pastor Josh Johnson will officiate. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19, please bring a mask and practice social distancing. She will be laid to rest at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Her daughter, Elizabeth, would like to thank the nurses and staff at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital's Hospice Care Unit for their kind, compassionate care of her mother during this difficult time.
