Walter Carl Green, age 86 of Fairfield Township, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 at West Chester Hospital. He was born on December 18, 1927 in East Bernstadt, KY, the son of Henry and Gladys (McCowan) Green. Carl attended Hazel Green High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On May 12, 1951 in Hamilton, he married his wife of almost 63 years, Pauline (Smith) Green. Carl founded Valley Janitor Supply in 1962. He was a lifetime golf member of BPO Elks 93, and loved golfing and fishing, but he especially loved his family. Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Pauline; daughters, Carlene (Bob) Robinson and Connie (Tom) Chambers; grandchildren, Steve (Cristy) Robinson, Bob (Erin) Robinson, Molly (Brandon) Markley and Megan (Angelo) Poneris; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Larry Green. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ted and Dick Green. The family wishes to thank Comfort Keepers and hospice.
