IN THE CARE OF
Elm Ridge Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Bryan Neil Strickler passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023. He was born in Wabash on Wednesday, January 15, 1964, to Robert “Bob” and Bettie Louise (Bradley) Strickler.
Bryan was the third of five children born to Bob and Louise. Bryan was raised in Huntington. He was a feisty young boy and that feistiness remained with him into adulthood. Bryan graduated high school in 1982. He attended Indiana-Purdue University for Accounting in 1982-1984.
Bryan had a love of baseball and played in youth baseball, Pony League and softball. He was an avid motorcyclist. He loved joining fundraising rides and was known to take off for the day when the weather was nice.
Bryan was hard working and his work ethic stayed with him through many jobs and career changes. Starting as a young man at Maloley's and Bechsteins, continuing into college for Accounting. His career then changed to trucking, working positions such as receiving freight, dock work, and driving.
Bryan worked at FedEx from 1995-2018, some of you may remember him making deliveries at your own employment. He was very impressionable. Bryan's most recent position was with Red Baron Transportation in Fort Wayne, adding up to over thirty-five years in trucking.
Bryan was a special kind of man and so very much like his mother. He is lovingly remembered by his family: father, Bob; brothers, Rob (Georgia) Strickler, and Rod (Edna) Strickler; sister, Anita (George) Pape; sister in-law, Stephanie Strickler; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise; and brother, Zak.
