Amy Jo Suding

Amy Moran Suding, born on March 15, 1971, in New Castle, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the age of 53. For the past twelve years, Amy shared her life with her beloved partner, Steve Gonzales. During this time, she became a cherished member of Steve's family and a loving grandmother figure to Steve's grandchildren, who adored her. She spent countless hours caring for them and loving them as her own. Her gentle and generous spirit made a significant impact on their lives, an influence that will be felt forever. Throughout the ups and downs of life, Amy never wavered in her love for those around her. She embraced her role in Steve's family with joy, viewing it not as a duty but as a privilege. Her warmth and affection extended to her immediate family as well. She was a devoted daughter, a wonderful sister, and the kind of aunt everyone dreams of having. Her nephew, Jacob Thomas, affectionately called her "Aunt Bossy," a testament to their special bond. Amy leaves behind her mother, Judy (Coomer) Morrison; her father, Larry Moran; her life partner, Steve Gonzales; her stepfather, Ronald Fain; her stepmother, Shannon Moran; her sister, April (fiancé, Chuck Phipps) Thomas; and her beloved nephew, Jacob Thomas. Though not related by blood, Amy's loving family also includes Steve's children: Matt (Amy), Ryan (Shawna), Brandon, and Stevie, along with his grandchildren: Chelsey, Alicia, Trey, Oscar, Liam, Isidore, Zaiden, Bobbie Rae, and Kynlee. Amy's love and kindness touched everyone she met, and her memory will continue to inspire us all. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Ben Lang officiating.
