She was looked up to by all as the role model for everything a woman could aspire to be and an inspiring example of unconditional love. She traveled thousands of miles with her husband’s work, always insisting that family belonged together, and to visit other family all over the country. She and Tom loved taking trips by motorcycle, and spending time on their pontoon boat on the river with friends and family. Margie had very special relationships with many of her grandchildren, even those who lived far away.
Family always came first, but Margie enjoyed the company of her many friends as well. Many of those friends would say she treated them like family. She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church and she and Tom attended many bible study groups there. She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society for a number of years. In all the places she lived, Margie always loved having beautiful flowers and trees around her and caring for them. She was a wonderful cook and her hospitality knew no bounds, her door was always open to family, friends or anyone in need.
