Jacqueline "Jackie" Gwen White, 82, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at her home.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Moss Bluff. Jackie was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her plants, taking care of numerous children throughout her years of babysitting and her regular Saturday trips to town with family. She was a member of Gillis Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, David White and wife Dana of Moss Bluff, Tommy White and wife Brenda of Lake Charles; daughter, Peggy Dartez and husband Charles of Lake Charles; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold White; her parents, Oliver and Mary Jensen; sons, Arnold Wayne White and Jerry Dale White; grandson, Arnold Wade Dartez; and sister, Lucille White.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Burial will be at Creel Cemetery in Topsy. The Rev. Glenn George will officiate. Visitation is Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
