It is with great sadness that we must part with our loving Angela Kay Self Guidry, age 47, who passed from us on June 1, 2018. Angie was at her home in Moss Bluff, LA where she had resided for the last 12 years.
Angie was born in New Orleans, LA on August 17, 1970. She grew up in Westlake, LA with her loving parents, Donald and Patricia Self, where she attended school, -participated in school activities, and had many friends. She had previously worked at The Isle of Capri in Westlake.
Angie was a very caring, loving person with a heart of gold. She would do anything for anybody. She loved her God, her family, friends, and adored her grandchildren. She had a great compassion for animals. Her Chihuahua, Ace, was her companion and protector. She was creative, talented, smart, and witty. She liked making jewelry, watching TV(especially The Big Bang Theory and her Shelton Cooper), and communicating on Facebook. She loved riding 4-wheelers before becoming disabled.
She is survived by her parents, five daughters, Brittany Danielle Moore and husband, Keith of Ragley, LA, Courtney Rae Fittz, Cheyenne Gabrielle Jordan both of Sulphur, LA, Lexi “Morning Joy” Jordan of Houston, TX, and Whitney Nicole Jordan of Seabrook, TX; four grandsons and two granddaughters, Maddox, Maci, Peyton, Jackson, Kennedy, and Carter.
Angie is preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Archie and Myrtis Self, Nick and Anne Nichols, and best friend, Marcie Ashworth Monceaux.
Visitation will be held 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 and will resume at 8:30 - 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
