Marian Lois (Frank) Chapman of Morton, Wash., passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. She was 83 years old. Born February 26, 1929 to Wilber and Alice (Peterson) Frank in Prosser, Wash., she was one of seven siblings.
In 1937 her family moved from Eastern Washington to the East Lewis County area. Marian graduated with honors from Morton High School in 1947. She was employed at the local telephone company for over 25 years. On January 25, 1948 she and James Chapman were married. They raised two sons Alvin and Richard. They were married for fifty plus years before Jim preceded her in death in January 2000. Lifelong residents of Morton, they had the privilege of traveling extensively throughout the US and Canada and she had many fond memories of these journeys.
Marian was also preceded in death by her parents Wilber and Alice Frank, her brothers Kenneth Frank, and Martin Frank and her two sisters Louise West and Martha Courtney. She was able to remain in the family home until the time of her death. Her greatest comfort throughout her life and her illness was her hope and confidence in the love of her Heavenly Father. Her family was very precious to her, and she generously gave of herself and her love. She will be deeply missed by all.
Marian is survived by her two brothers, John Frank (Sharon) of California, Art Frank (Rose) of Washington; her two sons, Al Chapman (Carrie) of Morton and Rick Chapman (Lorraine) of Mossyrock; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 26, from 3-6 p.m. at Brown Mortuary, Morton. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 27, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Brown Mortuary, Morton. Arrangements are under the care of Brown Mortuary, Morton.
