William “Willie” David Campbell Jr, born June 2, 1937, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye DeBord Campbell; foster son, David Howard; and parents, William “Bill” David Campbell and Mattie Jane Pinkston Campbell.
Survivors include his brother, J. A. (Brenda) Campbell of Bulls Gap; sisters, Mary Day of Whitesburg, Helen Shiflet of Russellville; several nieces and nephews; a host of family and friends; lifetime friend, Jarrell Haun of Whitesburg; and special lady friend of 20 years, Nancy “Sweet Pea” Linkous of Morristown.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30 from 5 – 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Bunch and Rev. Franklin Barnette officiating. Family and friends will meet in Cedar Grove Cemetery on Sunday at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service.
