W Val Parker of Morristown TN, passed away of sepsis double pneumonia due to covid. W Val was a recent transplant to Eastern TN. Before moving to TN the family lived in Kandiyohi MN. He was raised in New London MN. Val served in the Air Force. Val was a first-generation believer of Jesus Christ. His faith was his witness. His family and friends all testify to the contagious love of life Val embraced. He was his family’s teacher of the Word, often enjoyed around the dinner table after meals. The bible verse most discussed by Val was Matthew 6:33, Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Val lived his Christian life as a giver. Val enjoyed being outdoors. He took many fishing trips to Canada with family and friends. He could name a tree or plant if you pointed to it. He also enjoyed the art of knife making and used that skill of precision in reloading ammunition. His love for learning was immeasurable in everyday things and in spiritual things. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Earl Parker; mother, Marjorie Rose Loso; and older brother, James.
Val is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kyle; his children, Jenny Egge (Randy) of Lake Lillian MN, Matthew Wagner (Thresa) of North Branch MN, Kate Kaiser (Rod) of Atwater MN, Melissa Carpenter (Chad Owenby) of Spokane WA, Dustin Parker (SGT Kerry) of Svea MN, A1C Tristan Parker (Katelyn) of Honolulu HI, Alayna Parker of Willmar MN, Daniela Parker of Willmar MN, Merary, Axcel and Ashley Parker of Morristown TN; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Taryn, Colter, Kagen, Taylor, Sierra, Brianna, Payton, Mackenzie, Alexander, Jessica, Hannah, Cadence, Wyatt and Christian; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Martin John, Christopher, Vincent and Patrick; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Numerous foster children who knew him as dad during their time in Val’s home.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday Oct 29, 2021 from 6-8 pm at The Avenue Church. A MN Celebration of Life will be held on Nov 27. Visitation at noon and Celebration at 1 pm at the Willmar AG Church on Abbott DR in MN.
