Wednesday, September 22, 2010, Luther Wayne Gross of Bean Station was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. Wayne was born on January 5, 1946. Wayne retired from Mitchell & Scott in downtown Indianapolis, IN and also worked at Indiana Gears for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Gross, his mother, Dorothy Mae Story and sister, Betty Saylor. Wayne leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 10 years, Margie Couch Gross, one sister, Billie Spears, step-daughter, Jennifer (Trent) Truax and special grand-daughters, Kesley Truax and Audra Truax, his best friend of many years, Mike Bidwell, mother-in-law, Mary Couch of Bean Station. Wayne has a host of nieces and nephews that loved his sense of humor and loving heart. Wayne was a friend to all he met. A Farewell Service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Lakemoore Church of God with Pastor Robert Carpenter and Pastor Charles Lanter officiating with burial immediately following in the Bean Station Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Jesse Couch, Mike Couch, Jamie Campbell, Eddie Sizemore, James E. Couch and Trent Truax. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne’s sisters-in-law, Debbie Couch, Lucille Coffey, Elizabeth Gray, Mary Jane Hammons, Polly Sizemore and special niece Tiffany Gray.
