Jessie E. “Joe” Solomon, age 87, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and the VFW Post #5266. Joe retired from Rockwell International and the United States Army. He served during both the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie M. Solomon; son, Gary Wayne Solomon; and parents, Robert H. and Bobbie Livesay Solomon. He is survived by his brother, Glen Solomon of Rogersville; and special friends, Gary Beam and Ralph Wilkerson. Friends may meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens at 2:30 p.m. to visit with the family prior to the 3:00 p.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of the medical facilities and offices who took care of Jessie. Also a special thank you to the staff of UT Medical Center.
