David's first sunrise was Feb. 28, 1947 and his last sunset was Oct. 26, 2024.
He retired from Norfolk Southern after 30 plus years of being a railroad engineer. He was an avid Harley lover who enjoyed nothing more than riding.
David was preceded in death by his father and mother: Grover and Ruth Buchanan.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Coward Buchanan; daughter: Alesha Buchanan (Mike); granddaughter: Anna, brothers: Ralph and Charles Buchanan and sister Carolyn Horner. Many nieces, and nephews and a special great nephew, Aaron Buchanan. Son, Shane.
