Eula Barnard

Eula Mae Barnard, age 75, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at U. T. Medical Center. She was a member of Cedar Flat Missionary Baptist Church in Tazewell and retired from Magnavox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Estel Barnard; parents, Harvey and Bertha Spradling Wallen; sister, Agnes Davis; brother, Cecil Wallen; and half-brothers, Troy and Woodrow Wallen.

Survivors include son, Tava (Tina) Barnard of Strawberry Plains; daughter, Savanna (David) Hightower of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Alexis Barnard, Macey Barnard, Rebekah Cook, Jennifer Jones; half-sister, Treva Wallen of Tazewell; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Sonny Davis and Rev. Matthew Hunter will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Blake Newland, Courtney Newland, J. D. Rhode, Darren Trent, and Nick Black. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
