Preceded in death by parents, Dewey and Delcie Stapleton; brothers, Glen and Kenneth; sisters, Eileen Breeding and Maxine Fisher; and grandson, Lucas Bowlin.
Dennis is survived by daughter, Pamela (Burl) Jones; grandchildren, Lindsey Bowlin Ratliff and Nicholas Samples; sister, Geri Sams; one niece and several nephews; a battalion of good friends; and his devoted partner, Joanie Coleman of Greer SC.
He treasured his friendships with nephews, Keith and Lynn Breeding; lifelong friends, Wille Miller and Ronnie Webb; special friends, Don Lawson, Mike Ailey, Mike Nies, Tommy Carter, Alan Wendell, and the rest of The ood Old Days Liar's Club.
He was an honorable, loving, kind, and generous man, loved by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed, but we rejoice that he is now free from earthly trials.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 15th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #5266 and the Tennessee National Guard.
A memorial ride is planned for the spring. He asked that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to Our Daily Bread in his memory.
