CORA LEE HAYES, age 87 of Russellville, passed away on Monday, September 22 at Signature Healthcare in Greeneville. Cora was born, September 17, 1927. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary Hayes and two sisters, Mae Matthews and Annabelle Lawson. She is survived by two sisters, Edith Russell of Greensboro, NC and Maxine Long of Whitesburg; two brothers, Ralph and Joe Hayes of Russellville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmie Jarnigan officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, September 26 in Bent Creek Cemetery for and 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
