She was a longtime member of Freeburn Church of God in Kentucky and presently at Bean Station Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who had a large role in helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Wheeler and Eddie Stump; all of her siblings; husband: John Rice and son: Johnie E. Rice.
Bernice is survived by her daughter: Evelyn (Jack) Fannin; grandchildren: Rhonda (Dennis) Daniels of Lawrenceburg, KY; Mitch (Jill) Fannin of Bean Station, TN and Mike (Krystal) Fannin of Harold, Ky. Great grandchildren: Ryan (Kady) Fannin, Joshua Stratton, Somer (Brad) Jenkins, Kirstin (Jeremy) Sapp, Mykah (Sam) Prater, and Sydney (Zach) Johnson. Great great grandchildren: Stella Fannin, Jett Fannin, Everley Jenkins, Griffin Johnson and Levi Prater.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon with funeral services to follow at 12:00 at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Hatley and Rev. Ron Demaline officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Fannin, Joshua Stratton, Brad Jenkins, Jeremy Sapp, Zach Johnson and Sam Prater.
