Dr. Ben Roger Dotson

Dr. Ben Roger Dotson, 74 of Bean Station passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at home. Born July 28, 1938 in Freeburn, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Lee Scott and Dora Ellen Dotson. Dr. Dotson was a retired educator who dedicated his life to helping others.

Preceding Dr. Dotson in death is his first wife, Rena Dotson; his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Surviving Dr. Dotson is his wife of 30 years, Emogene Dotson of Bean Station; a son, Scott Dotson of Knoxville, a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Queen; two grandchildren, Jennifer Queen-Harvey and Jeremy Queen, and one Great-Grandchild, Camryn Harvey, all of Logan, WV; a Step-Daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Randy White of Lawton, OK; a sister, Loudell Clevinger of Abingdon, VA and a brother, Wilton Dotson of High Springs, FL.

The family will receive friends at Stubblefield Funeral Home, 5421 E. Andrew Johnson Highway, Morristown, TN on Friday, November 30th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a memorial service to follow. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to the Bean Station Public Library, 895 Broadway Drive, Bean Station, TN 37708.
